HOUSE and hip-hop music lovers are set to experience an awesome live performance at Afrovibe on Monday.
Popular entertainer Mo Flava is scheduled to share the stage at the Bloemfontein joint with upcoming local DJs, the likes of SAB Zero, Cider and C-JO, among others.
“Performing in Bloemfontein is always crazy and the crowd is just awesome, Mo Flava told the Free State Times this week.
“I am therefore looking forward to having fun with all my fans.”
The last time the YFM DJ was in town was during Macufe at Capello’s.
“The crowd here is very welcoming, not to say people in other provinces aren’t, but people here are just awesome,” he added.
The Soweto-born Mo Flava, whose real name is Moeti Tsiki, is a notable personality in the South African entertainment industry.
He kicked off his career as a radio DJ on YFM, having worked his way from being in the graveyard slot all the way up to the breakfast show “Flava in the Morning” which he still runs.
Besides establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with on the club scene, Mo Flava has also spread his wings into television as a presenter on the popular music show Club808.
Trevor Moabi, co-founder of Blackman Design which is hosting the Monday show at Afrovibe, said both hip-hop and house music lovers were going to have a blast at the event.
“It’s the best of both worlds with hip-hop and house music coming together,” he said.
While Mo Flava is the main attraction of the night, Moabi said they saw it fit to also give local DJs exposure.
“Local DJs are talented,” Moabi said.
“They do however lack strategic platforms to showcase their talent that will enable them to be recognised by giants in the music industry and take their music to the world.”
